Jen Koucouthakis
Jen and Kyle got married on August 27, 2022 at the Rincon Beach Club in Carpinteria, California USA. The ceremony was on the beach in the sand, and the reception was at the Rincon Beach Club venue right next to the beach. the beautiful couple live in Los Angeles but their friends and family traveled from all over the country (and world) to be a part of their special day. They had celebrations planned all weekend to take advantage of the rare occasion of having all of their loved ones in one place.
The wedding day was even more incredible than Jen and Kyle ever could have imagined. It was everything they had dreamed of and more. From the moment we woke up to the moment we fell asleep, everything was perfect. They wanted their guests to have an amazing time at a wedding they’d never forget. Jen said: :”The day was not only about us, but was about the people we love most in this world that made the effort to be there with us”.
The ceremony was romantic and beautiful in every way. Jen and Kyle’s good friend played the violin (In My Life by the Beatles), and when Jen walked down the aisle, she fought back tears as she looked at Kyle’s face standing up there on the altar. Jen: “I had no idea how I got so lucky to be experiencing such a beautiful moment. Both of our mothers gave readings, and our Episcopal priest married us on the beach during golden hour”.
The design and colour theme Jen and Kyle’s wedding had a big focus on nature and its beauty. Their ceremony was on the beach (with the Santa Ynez mountains in the background) and their reception venue was partially in a garden, so there was already a lot of natural beauty to work with. Jen wanted their décor and florals to accentuate rather than take away from their natural surroundings. They went for a chic classic boho design theme, focusing on timelessness rather than trendy. Jen chose whites and muted neutrals with some pops of muted yellow for their floral colors. This was perfect for the summer beach wedding, and tied in the color of the sun as it set into the horizon.
Jen also mentioned: “I knew I wanted a Liz Martinez from the very beginning of doing wedding dress research. Liz Martinez styles are always so effortless, romantic, chic, and different from the norm. I went to a Liz Martinez trunk show at En Blanc in Santa Monica, CA in February 2021. This was my first time trying on wedding dresses so I wasn’t necessarily planning on buying a dress that day. I tried on a handful of Liz Martinez dresses, all of which were gorgeous. However, when I tried on the Holly gown, I gasped. My whole demeanor and body language shifted, and I knew immediately that this was my dress. Everyone else in the room had the same reaction”.
Jen: “The dress made me feel like the most beautiful woman on earth. I felt more confident and sexy than I had ever felt before; I felt like a mermaid goddess. The beading details made me feel like I was literally dripping in gorgeousness. The gown fit me perfectly, and was not restricting at all so I could dance all night. My husband couldn’t keep his eyes or hands off me all night, which was the best way to start our marriage. I will never get over the amazing Liz Martinez Holly gown, and I am honored to be able to call her mine”.
